Welcome to the first of our Glovers Alley newsletters.

It’s certainly been a busy few months since we opened in February and we have lots of exciting news and events coming up over the summer which we’d like to tell you about…

 

Enjoy A Stylish And Relaxed Start To Your Evening With Our New Pre-Theatre Menu

 

If you’re heading to the theatre this summer and looking for somewhere stylish and comfortable to dine before the big show then check out our new Pre-Theatre menu – available on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 6pm – 7pm.

The new Pre-Theatre Menu consists of a choice of three starters, three main courses and two dessert options and costs €35 for two courses or €45 for three courses. And, to make things easy for you, we’re offering complimentary car parking in The Fitzwilliam Hotel from 6pm to midnight on the night you dine (Tuesday to Thursday) to all Pre-Theatre diners during the months of June, July and August. A car parking ticket will be validated at the front desk of the Fitzwilliam hotel with a valid receipt from Grom the Pre-Theatre menu.

 

Roll Up Your Sleeves For The Glovers Alley Kitchen Experience

 

Andy McFadden is opening up his kitchen and giving you the chance to don an apron and learn top techniques and tips with our new interactive Glovers Alley Kitchen Experience – an immersive cooking and eating experience.

Costing €145 per person, the experience includes three hours in the kitchen with Andy and his team, a four-course lunch with Champagne and wine pairings, and a goodie bag to take home, including our signature bread (made that morning).

The first experiences will launch on Friday 6th July and will run on the first Friday of each month, starting at 9am. The full experience is limited to four people per session, but you can bring a guest for the lunch part for €95.

An Evening of Fine Wine And Food With Winemaker Luca de Marchi

 

Exuberant winemaker and raconteur, Luca de Marchi, of Isole e Olena in Tuscany and Castello Sperino in Piemonte, is hosting an intimate dinner at Glovers Alley, in association with Liberty Wines, on Wednesday 6th June (7pm). Luca will be showcasing a selection of his fine wines which will be served with a bespoke menu created by Chef Patron Andy McFadden.

From Luca’s family home in Chianti, his father and renowned winemaker, Paulo de Marchi, has spearheaded a revolution that has shown the world just how good varietal Sangiovese can be with Isole e Olena ‘Cepparello’.  Luca is now producing Nebbiolo to rival the very best wines of Barolo.
